Cangfeng Juqi 藏峰聚氣 | 10-Year · Banzhang Raw Pu-erh
Ten Years of Banzhang Maturity
Made from ancient-tree tea leaves sourced from the core Banzhang tea region and aged for 10 years, this raw Pu-erh brings together the powerful structure of Banzhang material with the softer character developed through a decade of ageing. It offers a mature expression of Banzhang with honeyed sweetness, aged depth, and a warm, composed character.
Appearance
The cake is round, evenly proportioned, and moderately compressed, with a clearly defined central indentation. Thick, tightly formed tea strands are distributed evenly throughout the cake, with visible golden tips. The surface has developed a glossy dark brown appearance through ageing.
Aroma Tea Liquor
Once brewed, the tea produces a clear, bright golden liquor. Honey and mature aged aromas lead the profile, supported by warm woody notes, gentle aged herbal fragrance, and soft floral tones. The aromatics are settled and integrated, with the youthful grassy character of younger raw Pu-erh largely transformed by time.
Taste Finish
The liquor is rich, full-bodied, and smooth, with a soft yet substantial texture. Very light initial bitterness and astringency transform quickly into returning sweetness and steady salivation, revealing layers of honeyed sweetness and aged character.
The finish is warm and moist, with sweetness lingering in the mouth and throat alongside a persistent mature fragrance. The tea remains smooth and comfortable, with no harsh throat dryness and a subtle sense of Banzhang's mountain character.
