Cangfeng Juqi 藏峰聚氣 | 20-Year · Lao Banzhang Raw Pu-erh
Twenty Years of Lao Banzhang
Made from ancient-tree tea leaves sourced from the core Lao Banzhang tea region, this raw Pu-erh has been aged for twenty years. Time has transformed its youthful intensity into a deeper, more composed character, revealing mature sweetness, substantial texture, and layered aged aromas while retaining the distinctive depth of ancient-tree Lao Banzhang.
Appearance
The cake is round, evenly proportioned, and moderately compressed, with a clearly defined central indentation and clean, intact edges. Thick, tightly formed tea strands are evenly distributed with visible golden tips, while the surface displays a glossy brown color shaped by years of ageing.
Aroma Tea Liquor
Once brewed, the tea produces a clear, bright amber liquor. A mature aged-wood aroma forms the foundation, layered with rich honey, gentle camphor, orchid, soft woody notes, dried jujube, and subtle herbal nuances reminiscent of dried medicinal roots. The overall fragrance is restrained, integrated, and complex.
Taste Finish
The liquor is rich, full-bodied, and remarkably smooth, with a dense, silky texture and no coarse astringency or throat dryness. Mellow aged sweetness develops through the middle infusions, followed by slow, persistent returning sweetness and steady salivation.
The finish is deep and moist, with sweetness gradually building across the tongue and throat. A lingering combination of aged fragrance and sweetness remains after each sip, creating a long, warm, and composed aftertaste.
