Quiet Retreat brings together warm walnut wood and brushed brass in a compact four-piece tea tool set handcrafted in Dehua. Designed around the small gestures of Gongfu tea preparation, the collection balances practical function with a restrained material palette that feels equally at home on a traditional or contemporary tea table.

At the centre of the set is a solid walnut storage case that serves both as presentation and organisation. The naturally varied grain gives each piece its own character, while the sliding wooden cover allows the tools to be stored neatly when not in use. Delicate orchid decoration on the lid introduces a quiet botanical detail, complemented by finely engraved Chinese calligraphy on the reverse.

The four utensils combine dark walnut handles with warm brass working ends, creating a considered contrast between wood and metal. Each tool is shaped for a specific part of loose-leaf tea preparation, from measuring and transferring dry leaves to handling cups and maintaining a clean brewing space.

The Tea Scoop (茶則) provides a broad surface for measuring and transferring dry tea leaves into a gaiwan or teapot.
